Table lamp by Peill & Putzler, Germany 1960
[SOLD] Striking table lamp by Peill & Putzler in a typical Space Age design. Made of handblown opaque glass with a silk shade with red velvet trimming. The base is lit as well. Base and shade can be switched on and off seperately.
Quality maker Peill & Putzler was well known for their glass technique called "opaque". Double layered glass with the inside layer being white. This allows the beautiful bright and deep colours of the outside layer.
It is in very good condition with excellent glass. Some minor pitting on the gold coloured trimming of the bulb holder. The shade is very good bar a slight watermark on one side and some discolourisation marks at the top edge (see photo).
Fully functional and with its original switch.
