Table lamp by Goffredo Reggiani, Italy 1960's
[SOLD] Here we have a great piece of lighting art. Not just a nice lighting fixture but a true design object that emits a wonderful light through it's clever reflector. Made from bent sheet metal and painted matt black, it softly reflects the light that emits from both sides of the chrome tube in front of it. Both reflector and tube can seperately be angled in any position, thus giving the lamp different appearances everytime. Reflector and tube are both adjustable in height as well. Every part has been carefully engineered to give this object a clean and high tech appearance.
"Il maestro" Goffredo Reggiani was an industrial designer who founded his eponymous lighting factory in Brianza, Italy. In his designs, Reggiani utilized mainly chrome, as well as opaline glass and teak, to create Space Age designs, such as sputnik style chandeliers, globe-shaped table lamps, and floor lamps with trumpet-like diffusers. During the 1970s, Reggiani developed the first range of low voltage halogen lamps in Europe.
Today, the company is still in operation, creating interior and exterior lighting for both the private and public sectors.
This lamp is in excellent condition with unmarked black paint and the chrome being in very good condition. Fully functional.
