The top dome and main lampshade can be switched on independently for up lighting, down lighting or both at once.
 
Totally original. No damages, cracks or disformations in the acrylic shade! Very good base white enamel paint. New rubber O-ring (they usually dry out). In full working order, cleaned and ready for another lifetime of proud use...
