Space Age coffee table, 1960's

A very early example of a Space Age coffee table! Made of glass fiber (see photo's of the underside) and handmade in a mould with a stunning geometrical pattern.
 
This piece clearly tells the history of the early (pre)Space Age era with its playful shapes. Shapes that could only be made by hand by using glass fiber enforced resin. It was later in time that "acrylic" replaced glass fibre.
 
A piece of design history!
In very good condition with only very minor traces of use (see photo's). Cleaned and polished.
