[SOLD] Life size oil painting on canvas by painter J.C. Bander (1885 - 1956) of a naked man (no, not Freddy Mercury...). Probably painted in the thirties by the look of it.
 
Bander was a Dutch artist born in Amsterdam in 1885. During his life time Bander designed book covers and was known for succesfully painting still lives, portraits, landscapes and the human body.
 
This work is signed at the back "J.C. Bander" and is in good condition (see photo's) and unframed.
 
A stunning piece in any space that needs a surprising touch of artistic taste. Certainly a conversation topic! "Is it Freddy Mercury...?"
