Two modernist floor lamps by Acciarri, 1970

[SOLD] Striking floor lamp by Acciarri Italy (attr.) in alloy, acylic and marble. Acciarri was a small company that made switches for several lighting companies. However, they also produced lamps. Mostly desk lamps for architects which makes this floor lamp rather unusual.
 
A very elegant design: two acrylic half spheres slightly opened up, showing the recessed metal construction that holds them together. The sphere is 'floating' in the metal frame and follows the shape of the frame perfectly. Beautiful marble base plate in grey and white tones. The switch is integrated in the frame.
 
In very good condition, no cracks or damages to the sphere. Only a very small chip off the marble (corner, see photo). Electrically sound and ready to be enjoyed.
