Large wall unit by Poul Cadovius for Royal System, Denmark 1960

[SOLD] Extensive wall unit by the Danish designer Poul Cadovius and manufactured by Royal System in the beginning of the sixties. A modular system that would find its way into many design loving households during the sixties and seventies.
 
Poul Cadovius (1911-2011) was a furniture designer with a particular good eye for quality and always seeking new ways of producing functional furniture. He worked with wood, metal and started experimenting with plastics. The latter resulting in some very futuristic furniture.
 
This large set-up comprises:
Unit that can be used as a desk (with lock)
Unit that can be used as bar with glass shelf (with lock)
Unit with sliding doors and shelf
Two extra deep shelves
Four (more optional) regular shelves
Sideboard: double cupboard with shelf, one drawer and two sliding doors
Three wall rails (210cm) and two wall rails (150cm + 60cm)
 
In very good and unmolested condition. A beautiful satin finish to the teak wood, well nourished. Almost no user marks on shelves, cupboards or sideboard. Totally original from the first owners! Marked on the back of the cupboards.
