Coffee table, the Horn Collection by Peter Ghyczy, West Germany 1970's
[SOLD] Nicely shaped coffee table with soft flowing lines, designed by Peter Ghyczy for Bayer. In the 1970's Bayer developed a revolutionary new material called "Baydur". This patented "Baydur" is a polyurethaan duromer that is resistant to water, heat and light. It is finished in a soft matt brown lacquer called "DD lack". Furniture made of "Baydur" had very fluent lines and this was considered as the future of furniture.
This coffee table is in good condition with some traces of age around the edges. The glass top is in very good condition with only some superficial scratches. The rubber part on one of the wheels is missing.
