The iconic AJ lamp series was designed in 1957 by the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen.
He created the lighting collection, which includes the floor lamp, table lamp and wall lamp as part of a total design concept for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, which opened in 1960.
The elegant design of the AJ makes it suitable for both modern and mid century modern interiors. Besides the aesthetics, the AJ is a very functional light source too, thanks to the tilting of the cone.
In very good condition and fully operational. Early edition with makers label at the underside.
